Accountant

Accountants at Microtron Inc will work closely with our C-Level Management and our banker. You'll be responsible for developing strong working relationships with our clients built on understanding and trust.  Work on multiple team engagements, including all pieces of any particular engagement relating to financials. 

Job Duties  

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Prepare Invoices 
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guides foreign partnership accountants by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare tax returns for our S- Corporations, and LLC. 
  • Prepare Amended returns.
  • File Extensions.
  • Prepare Tax Planning and Projections.
  • Respond to IRS notices independently.
  • Prepare accurate tax work papers.
  • Conduct tax research for unusual situations.
  • Assist with training of junior accountants with software & support in tax issues.
  • Make journal entries for year-end close including bank reconciliation.
  • Generating trial balance & financial statements.
  • Analyze current and prior year General Ledger, Cash book, Journal.
  • Monitor bank account and client payments 
  • Discuss with client year-end adjustments to be include

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a Full-time position. Hours of work are Monday, through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, Out-of-the-area and international travel may be expected.

Due to our C-level schedules, we are looking to hire  Executive Assistant's to function as a partner-to and extension-of leadership, in support of the business operations of Microtron Inc. 

We are looking for someone technical, experienced, very articulate and extremely organized, who is professional, represents themselves everyday as an extension of leadership, and can really take ownership of the complex calendars of two executives, help to make us all more efficient in our roles, build relationships with other C-levels, and really help us get things done. 

The right individuals will be responsible for extensive travel, logistics, scheduling and calendars coordination, expense reports, time-sheets, and lots of projects as we work on Microtron Inc wide initiatives. This is also a fast paced work environment so someone who can pick up the sense of urgency on an issue and get it resolved / done expeditiously is what we are looking for.

Responsibilites

• Maintaining complex calendars, scheduling all business and project related meetings to include logistics and coordination; must be capable of responding with urgency on behalf of leadership to scheduling requests in an effort to balance competing priorities of projects, offices and marketing deadlines.

• Coordination of all travel arrangements (domestic and international) per travel policy to include flights, hotel, trains, car service and travel, where applicable.

• You are responsible for all incoming phone calls with the ability to take thorough messages and disseminate information expeditiously; ability to exercise sound judgment in determining calls that should be passed on to staff or team members for handling; be capable of responding, on behalf of leadership, to callers with questions or inquiries about company business.

•Responsible for generating timely expense reports and time-sheets for Principal(s) and/or Partner(s).

•Responsible for receipt and distribution of email, daily incoming mail and packages using excellent judgment in determining priority and urgency of information. 

•Responsible for proofing, editing, printing and distribution of correspondence related to the business operations of the Microton-3D; responsible for drafting meeting notes, transmittals, reports, charts, graphs and presentation materials, as requested by leadership. 

•Contribute however possible to ensure the overall effectiveness of support for Partners, Principals, the business operations and product excellence of Microtron Inc. 

Job Duties

•Provide telephone coverage, screen calls, and distribute messages. 

• Manage calendars and appointments, schedule meetings and conference calls.

• Review and submit expense reports.

• Maintain department equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and printers.

• Deliver materials to clients and bankers.

• Ensure adequate coverage for lunch hours, vacations, training, and temporary assistance.

• Facilitate travel arrangements; coordinate logistics and prepare detailed itineraries

• Oversee and maintain inventory for all office supplies.

• Serve as the go-to contact regarding the due diligence process of bringing new clients to the company.

• Complete special projects and day-to-day tasks as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration required & Master's preferred or 5 years of Secretarial Experience

2 Year Administration Experience

Background Experience -

Physics & Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications & Experience

• Experienced in general and executive level administrative duties.

• Proficient in the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

• Prezi and PowerPoint a plus, though not required

• Must be articulate with excellent communication skills and writing abilities, able to interact effectively with employees, consultants, clients and the public.

• Must have experience managing complex calendars with competing priorities.

• Must be extremely organized with experience coordinating complex travel arrangements and logistics (domestic and international).

• Must possess ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion with regard to project, business and personnel matters.

• Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to respond with urgency to requests in a fast-paced work environment
